At the ceremony, 28 excellent works were recognized.Nghe An Provincial Press Award2019.This year, there was no First Prize, the Organizing Committee awarded 5 Second Prizes, 10 Third Prizes and 13 Consolation Prizes. Of which, Nghe An Newspaper won 11/28 prizes, including 3 Second Prizes, 5 Third Prizes and 3 Consolation Prizes.

*CAlso in the morning of June 18,Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with Department of Information and Communications, Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association organized the ribbon cutting ceremony.thematic exhibition: "Some pictures of the Party's collection of newspapers, leaflets, and documents during the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement".

With nearly 150 rare, vivid and authentic documents and images, the exhibition will recreate a development stage of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism in Nghe Tinh with significant contributions to the overall victory of the revolutionary movement in 1930-1931.

*Cpreparing for the 15th session,Provincial People's Council term XVII, on June 18, the Provincial People's Council delegates organizedvoter contactin Con Cuong and Quynh Luu districts.

At the meetings, after listening to the opinions of voters, the provincial and district People's Council delegates will explain issues and recommendations within their authority, and some contents not within their authority. *TNghe An provinceexpected to issue policy on community tourism development.That is one of the contents reviewed by the Culture - Social Committee of the Provincial People's Council on June 18 to present at the 15th session., Upcoming 17th Provincial People's Council.

This is one of the policies that will have a positive impact on districts, communes, villages, hamlets, tourist destinations and families that benefit from policies in developing community tourism, especially in the Western districts.

*COn the afternoon of June 18, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting.Urging site clearance for North-South Expresswayvia Nghe AnAccording to reports from relevant districts and sectors, most of this work in localities is slow.

The North-South Expressway is a key project and has allocated capital. The provincial People's Committee leader requested the districts to focus on site clearance work and not let the issue drag on for a long time; Directed the communes to focus on the work immediately after the Party Congress. Urgently bid for construction and support people in relocation work, ensuring the province's plan.

*CAfternoon of June 18, the working delegation of the General Department of Vocational Education - Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairsarrivedworking in Nghe AnUp to now, the whole province has 65 vocational training institutions, including 3 high-quality schools, 16 key vocational schools with 13 international-level occupations, 9 ASEAN-level occupations and 36 national-level occupations.

The representative of the General Department of Vocational Education said that Nghe An has many favorable conditions to develop vocational education and if the potential is exploited, it will be a great opportunity to contribute to the overall development of the province. Therefore, the province needs to have positive solutions to promote vocational education activities and propose that localities prioritize budgets and projects for this activity.

*Tconstruction and operationChildren's Council model"is the content deployed by the Central Council of the Young Pioneers on June 18 in Vinh City. At the 2-day training course, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers imparted to the source lecturers instructions on building and operating the "Children's Council" model with the participation of 30 delegates representing 8 provinces and cities: Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Thua Thien Hue.

*Mthis season, in Nghe An,locusts are in high demand, people count each one to get money. In Hoang Mai and Quynh Luu towns, there are about 100 households specializing in hunting locusts, mainly concentrated in Quynh Trang and Quynh Thanh communes. In addition, in the 2 districts, there are many households specializing in buying locusts.

During the main season, these establishments purchase from 500 kg to 1 ton of "flying shrimp", then refrigerate and store them in styrofoam boxes and transport them to northern provinces such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc and some central provinces for consumption. According to traders in the North, "flying shrimp" are being sought by traders at 250,000 VND/kg (3 times higher than during the season) but there is still no supply.

*Nplaying with lighter to burn paper causing fire,two children in Nghe Anbadly burnedThis heartbreaking incident took place on the morning of June 18, in Phu Thanh village, Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu).

At around 9 o'clock, Le Minh Khang and Bui Tien Phat (both born in 2017) were playing in the bedroom of Bui Phuc Dong and Le Thi Thanh (Bui Tien Phat's parents) when they were playing with a lighter to burn paper, causing the blanket and mattress to catch fire. The fire then spread to the electrical wires, burning the electric fan and air conditioner.

Upon discovering the incident, family members quickly tried to put out the fire, opened the door to take the two children out who were suffocated by smoke and took them to the hospital for emergency treatment with severe burns to the face, chest, arms and legs.
