On June 19, the Dong Vinh Ward Party Committee (Vinh City) held the 7th Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

Comprehensive results

The political report presented at the Congress affirmed: During the past term, under the leadership and management of the Party Committee, the government and the efforts of cadres, party members and people, Dong Vinh ward achieved many important results.

Notably, the economy continues to have a good development, with an average growth rate of 10.21%, higher than the city's average. The economic structure is shifting in the right direction. Creating a favorable environment to attract investment projects to the ward. Diverse industries: wood processing, mechanics, aluminum and glass, construction transportation, etc.

The ward's budget revenue met the set target, creating capital for investment in construction and socio-economic development.

Urban management, order and land are focused on. The urban landscape is more spacious, clean and beautiful, and people's awareness of building a civilized urban lifestyle has many positive changes.

During the term, the ward basically completed the issuance of land use right certificates to the people, reaching 97%. Effectively used and exploited the land fund in the area.

Infrastructure is invested in and upgraded to serve socio-economic development, in coordination with city departments and offices to complete site clearance for projects, works, and residential land planning areas.

Mobilizing resources from the people reached 15.2 billion VND to renovate and upgrade a number of degraded roads, cultural houses, drainage ditches, lighting systems, especially, mobilizing 6 billion VND to restore and build Yen Due temple.

The quality of education has been improved, 100% of public schools in the ward meet National standards level 1. School facilities have received investment attention.

Party building work is taken care of, leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee are enhanced. Internal solidarity and unity are increasingly stronger.

The Fatherland Front and the ward's organizations operate effectively and efficiently with many movements attracting the participation of a large number of people, mobilizing the construction of many cultural institutions, physical education and sports equipment, meeting the needs of the people. During the term, the ward's Party Committee has successfully completed its tasks for 4 years.

Service economic development

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee acknowledged and commended the results achieved by Dong Vinh ward in the past term.

Regarding the development orientation in the coming term, the Vinh City Party Secretary suggested that the Party Committee and people of Dong Vinh ward need to focus on developing service economy on the basis of promoting the advantages of main roads and roads that have been renovated and upgraded.

At the same time, the ward needs to have a specific roadmap and plan to develop the service economy to take advantage of major projects that are about to be implemented in the area and the development of the VSIP industrial park associated with tourism services and ancillary services when the city implements the Ke Gai river embankment project.

Dong Vinh Ward will soon complete the planning of Dong Vinh market at the new location, ensuring effective exploitation and increasing revenue for the ward.

Continue to strengthen the mobilization and promote the effectiveness of the people's credit fund together with preferential loans from the Social Policy Bank and credit institutions to serve production, business and economic development; strengthen the management of planning, urban areas and land according to zoning plans. Along with that is taking care of the cultural and social fields, developing extensively the cultural, artistic, physical training and sports movements, improving the spiritual life of the people. Improving the quality of cultural families, cultural blocks, civilized alleys... to move towards the ward meeting the urban civilized standards; maintaining security and order, doing well the political and ideological work, creating solidarity, unity, and high consensus in the entire Party and people.

With a democratic and open spirit, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Dong Vinh Ward Party Committee for the 7th term, 2020 - 2025, consisting of 14 comrades. In the first meeting, the Executive Committee of the Dong Vinh Ward Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term elected comrade Nguyen Van Tien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Dong Vinh Ward People's Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Dong Vinh Ward Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.

The Congress elected a delegation to attend the 24th Vinh City Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, including 6 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate.
