At about 4:50 p.m., Thuong Son market in Do Luong caught fire fiercely.
The fire was determined to have started at Mrs. Nguyen Thi Toi’s stall selling votive paper. At the time the stall caught fire, Mrs. Toi was sitting at Ms. Huong’s shop across the street. Ms. Huong was the first person to discover the fire at Mrs. Toi’s stall.

Dozens of police officers and soldiers from the district, the militia and self-defense force of Thuong Son commune and hundreds of local people cooperated to put out the fire.

Fortunately, 100 meters from the burnt market, there is a small canal that leads water, making it easier to supply water to the fire trucks.
