North Korea threatens to destroy America
Pyongyang has threatened to destroy the United States in the event of a resumption of war on the Korean Peninsula, the North Korean embassy in Russia said on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War.
Pyongyang diplomats noted that this year the US military is conducting various exercises in South Korea, the main purpose of which is to deploy forces on the peninsula to quickly attack North Korea.
The embassy also reiterated that North Korea possesses nuclear missiles that can punish anyone who "dares to sabotage the country".
"A new round of the Korean War will add a particularly sensational event in the history of mankind, which will put an end to the empire called the United States," - Pyongyang's representative declared.

On June 12, North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Son-gwon said that relations between North Korea and the United States have become hopeless over the past two years. Foreign Minister Ri Son-gwon said that the situation on the Korean Peninsula "is getting worse day by day." According to him, since the first meeting between US leader Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in 2018, hope has given way to despair, "the optimistic light of peace and prosperity has died under the pressure of a pessimistic nightmare."
The Korean War lasted from June 25, 1950 to July 27, 1953. Pyongyang was assisted by the Soviet Union and China. The United States, Britain and other countries, under the banner of the United Nations, sided with Seoul and joined the war. In three years, about 1.3 million Koreans were killed and wounded. Washington lost about 36,600 soldiers in the conflict. The war ended in a ceasefire in 1953, which remains in effect to this day.
