In addition to proactively taking measures to prevent overload and ensure stable and safe operation of the power grid, Nghe An Electricity Company has also strengthened the inspection of meter readings and issuance of electricity bills.
According to statistics from Nghe An Electricity Company as of June 24, 2020, there were 887,778 customers using electricity for daily life out of a total of 998,085 customers. Of which, the number of customers with electricity consumption in May 30% higher than in April 2020 was 197,389 customers, especially among these, there were 109,349 customers with electricity consumption increasing by 50%, even more than 13,197 customers with electricity consumption increasing by over 300% compared to the previous April.

Accordingly, Nghe An Power Company established inspection teams chaired by members of the Board of Directors to directly inspect power plants in districts, cities and towns. At the same time, Nghe An Power Company also requested its affiliated power units to urgently and seriously organize and implement inspections of customers whose output increased or decreased abnormally by 30% compared to the previous month.
When recording meter readings in the field, for customers with abnormal electricity output, the meter reader must check and reconfirm the meter readings.

When receiving comments and suggestions from customers related to electricity bills and indexes, the Electricity Company must contact and handle them thoroughly within 24 hours. For comments reflected on Facebook, fanpages and social networking sites or on mass media, the Electricity Company must investigate and contact to handle them immediately.
On June 24, 2020, the Director of Nghe An Electricity Company issued a decision to temporarily suspend Mr. Truong Quang Dinh from the position of Director of Quy Chau Electricity Company for 15 days to serve the investigation of the causes leading to errors in recording indexes and issuing electricity bills for a household in Kim Son commune (Que Phong).

Previously, a household in Kim Son commune (Que Phong district, Nghe An) reported that Quy Chau Power Company had mistakenly calculated the electricity bill for June 2020 of this household at 16 million VND. Immediately after receiving the feedback from the people, Quy Chau Power Company recalculated and immediately notified the household that their electricity bill for June 2020 was only over 500 thousand VND. The cause of this error was explained by Quy Chau Power Company as being due to the staff recording the electricity number incorrectly when entering the index for the bill. After discovering this incident, Quy Chau Power Company re-checked all the bills in the area and did not detect any errors or abnormalities in the electricity index.
Contacting and resolving customer feedback must be done in the spirit of listening and being receptive, checking and resolving thoroughly, in accordance with the content of customer feedback. If the content of customer feedback is true to reality, the Electricity leaders must directly respond, apologize to customers and correct the error immediately, no later than 24 hours from the time of detecting the error, and must consider and handle the responsibility of the relevant departments for the error.
