According to the investigation, on June 20, Mr. Co Van Dung (44 years old), owner of Kim Thu gold shop in Binh Dong commune, reported that a thief broke into his shop and stole 14 taels of gold, including 200 pairs of earrings and 5 gold necklaces, worth nearly 500 million VND.

Four days later, Le Ngoc Anh was arrested by the police while hiding in a rented room in Ho Chi Minh City. Initially, the suspect confessed that before committing the crime, he used his phone to record all the activities of Anh Thu gold shop for research.

On the evening of June 19, the man rode a motorbike from Ho Chi Minh City to the shop, used a hammer and crowbar to break the wall and sneak in to steal the gold. After running away for about 30 minutes, he suddenly remembered that he had left a bottle of mineral water at the shop, so he went back to get it to erase his traces.
