(Baonghean.vn) - June 30 is the deadline for candidates to register for the high school graduation exam and university and college admissions in 2020. In Nghe An, schools have basically completed the registration of documents for candidates.

Although there have been changes to the 2020 high school graduation exam, it is still the basis for university and college admissions. However, at schools in Nghe An, many students have chosen a different path instead of taking the exam to consider university admission.

For example, at Quy Chau High School, out of 434 12th graders this year, only 157 students registered for university and college admission. The remaining students, according to the school's survey, 94 students chose vocational training, 54 students chose to work abroad, and 118 students chose to work.

Even in a central school with a tradition like Phan Dang Luu High School (Yen Thanh), according to the school's synthesis this school year, out of 455 12th grade students, only 267 students registered to get results to consider university admission. The remaining 188 students took the exam to get graduation results.

Teacher Nguyen Van Ngoan - Principal of the school said: This year, the number of students applying to university is less than previous years. Many students, including those with good academic performance, want to go to vocational school or look for other opportunities to easily find a job after graduation.

Today (June 30), according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, is the deadline for candidates to register for the high school graduation exam and university and college admission in 2020.

Among the schools, there are some schools with quite high university enrollment rates such as Nghe An Ethnic Minority High School No. 2 with 100%. In particular, at the Do Luong District Continuing Education Center, 97% of the school's students enroll in university. This is also one of the Continuing Education Centers with the best teaching quality in the province.

According to the plan, this afternoon is the deadline for candidates to register for the high school graduation exam, however, candidates will have 2 weeks to adjust some of the registered information.

During this time, schools will print the list of candidates registering for the exam in order a, b, c, ... including student name, class, school; candidates will sign to confirm the exam registration information on the list and complete it no later than July 7, 2020. After that, the units will cross-check the candidate information, hand over the list and Exam Registration Form to the Department of Education and Training, no later than July 15.
