Deputy Minister Ha Cong Tuan and the working delegation inspected the fire-blocking runway serving the PCCCR work at the tomb of Ms. Hoang Thi Loan in Nam Giang commune, Nam Dan district. The runway was built in 2017 so that when a forest fire occurs in this area, human resources and fire-fighting equipment will be able to access and carry out forest fire fighting more effectively.

Here, the Deputy Minister requested units to always be proactive in fire prevention and control work, focusing on patrolling and controlling regularly because this is a key area, with a very important special-use forest and special historical and cultural relics.

Next, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Ha Cong Tuan inspected the 360-degree camera system to monitor and detect forest fires early at the Nghi Loc District Forest Protection Management Board.

This system was installed in April this year with 4 cameras, the total installation cost is over 400 million VND. With this camera system, it has helped forest owners and forest management units to perform better in fire prevention and control, detect fires early for timely handling.

The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the effectiveness of this system and hoped that Nghe An province would replicate the models of using technology in PCCCR work. It is known that in the coming time, Nghe An province will continue to install 5 more 360 ​​camera systems in the localities of Nam Dan, Yen Thanh, Vinh City, Dien Chau, and Do Luong.

At the meeting with leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and other units and localities, Deputy Minister Ha Cong Tuan acknowledged and commended the efforts of Nghe An province in extinguishing dangerous forest fires in recent times. At the same time, the Deputy Minister directed that in the current hot weather, the risk of forest fires is very high, especially for 30,000 hectares of pine forests in special-use and important protective forests.

In particular, the local forces included: Forest rangers, forest owners, militia and self-defense forces, the Fire Police Team stationed in the area, the police force, the district military, the 324th division; Battalion 764... In addition, the forest fires also had the participation of the Youth Union and the Women's Union in fire fighting, water supply, and logistics for fire fighting.
