A notorious suspect carrying 4kg of crystal meth fiercely fought back when being surrounded and arrested in Vinh City.
(Baonghean.vn) - A transnational drug trafficking ring has just been successfully dismantled by Vinh City Police. The subjects involved in this case are all notorious and extremely reckless.
Through the work of grasping the situation and basic investigation, in early June 2020, Vinh City Police identified a drug trafficking ring that illegally traded large quantities of drugs from Laos to Que Phong district, then smuggled them to Vinh City and transported them to the northern provinces for consumption. A special project was established to combat this.

The leader of this ring is Vuong Quoc Trong (born 1977), living in Ha Tinh City (Ha Tinh). Trong has two previous convictions for illegal drug trafficking, operates very professionally, discreetly, and has many sophisticated tricks to deceive the authorities.
Another subject in this ring assigned by Trong to trade and transport drugs is Nguyen Hien Son (born 1989), residing in Ha Tinh City (Ha Tinh). This subject is reckless, daring, always holding a weapon ready to fight back when surrounded and arrested.
On July 3, the Task Force determined that the two subjects had met to prepare for a major drug trafficking trip. Determining the time was ripe, the Task Force decided to crack the case. Early in the morning of July 4, on Phan Boi Chau Street, Vinh City, the task force caught Nguyen Hien Son red-handed while he was illegally transporting drugs.
Suddenly surrounded and captured, the subject used weapons to fight back fiercely, but with carefully planned plans, the task force captured the subject. At the scene, 4 kg of crystal meth was seized.

At that time, another task force also arrested Vuong Quoc Trong in Ha Tinh City, when he was driving to pick up Son.
At the investigation agency, the two subjects confessed that they regularly colluded with subjects in the border area to buy drugs from Laos to Vinh City for consumption. Currently, the case is being expanded.
