According to data from the Nghe An Statistics Office, the total retail sales of goods in the second quarter of 2020 in Nghe An province at current prices is estimated at 14,683 billion VND, down 5.6% over the same quarter last year, making the total retail sales of goods in the first 6 months of 2020 estimated at 30,789 billion VND, up only 0.21% over the same period last year.
Of which, the food and foodstuff group accounts for the largest proportion with estimated revenue in the period reaching 10,900 billion VND (accounting for 35.4% of the total), up 11.09%; automobiles of all kinds 3,931 billion VND, down 16.86%; means of transport (excluding automobiles) 2,292 billion VND, up 2.29%; gasoline 2,806 billion VND, down 4.13%...

Revenue from accommodation, catering and tourism services in the second quarter of 2020 is estimated at VND 1,606.8 billion, down 31.85% over the same period last year.
Cumulative revenue from accommodation, food and beverage and travel services in the first 6 months is estimated at VND3,023.1 billion, down 28.80% over the same period last year; of which accommodation services served 1,297 thousand visitors, down 57.81% over the same period last year (1,020 thousand overnight visitors, including 18.8 thousand international visitors) with accommodation service revenue of VND299 billion, down 53.67%; food and beverage service revenue of VND2,724.2 billion, down 24.34%; travel service revenue of VND23 billion, down 71.03%.
Revenue from other service activities (excluding accommodation, catering and travel services) in the second quarter of 2020 is estimated at VND 1,188.7 billion, down 26.20% over the same period last year. The total for the first 6 months of 2020 is estimated at VND 2,667.6 billion, down 15.44%; of which real estate business is VND 1,067.6 billion, down 8.21%; administrative services are VND 510.3 billion, down 17.54%; medical services are VND 517.9 billion, down 0.05%; art and entertainment services are VND 122 billion, down 50.22%...

Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, revenue from transportation business activities in the first 6 months of 2020 only increased slightly compared to the same period in 2019. Specifically, the volume of passengers transported is estimated at 47.42 million, down 14.37% over the same period last year; Cargo transport is estimated at 57 million tons, up 3.59% over the same period last year; Revenue from transportation and loading and unloading in the second quarter is estimated at VND 2,483.4 billion, bringing the revenue for the first 6 months to an estimated VND 4,982.6 billion, up 0.04% over the same period last year.
