Invite voters' representatives to directly attend the Provincial People's Council meeting
These are delegates representing voters of districts, towns and cities in the province and officials in Project 11 of the Provincial Party Committee.
On July 3, the 17th Yen Bai Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021, opened. The meeting aimed to assess the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year; deploy directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2020 and decide on a number of contents within its authority.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council invited delegates representing voters from districts, towns and cities in the province and officials in Project 11 of the Provincial Party Committee on building and creating a source of young officials, female officials and officials from ethnic minorities to attend.
At the meeting, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Council Pham Thi Thanh Tra said that in the first 6 months of the year, in the context of the extremely complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, affecting all aspects of social life, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee of Yen Bai province proactively and promptly led, directed, and resolutely implemented urgent tasks and solutions, both preventing the epidemic to ensure the health and lives of the people, while maintaining socio-economic development and implementing political tasks according to the set plan, determined to complete the 2020 plan goals.
Up to now, the socio-economic development scenario in response to the Covid-19 pandemic has initially achieved results, with many targets meeting the plan and increasing compared to the same period. The province has proactively and promptly implemented support policies for people and economic sectors facing difficulties due to the pandemic, effectively implemented social security work, ensured social welfare and national defense - security, maintained social order and safety...
Along with that, the province has focused on directing the successful organization of grassroots party congresses and 5/12 party congresses directly under the Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025; organized many patriotic emulation movements, many practical and effective activities to celebrate the province's political events and successfully organized the 120th anniversary of the province's founding, 75th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Party Committee and received the First Class Independence Medal.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Yen Bai province said that the epidemic situation is still complicated; in addition, the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months is still limited, some tasks are behind schedule, and have decreased significantly compared to the same period. That requires great efforts with a strong offensive spirit of the entire political system, especially the spirit and determination of the heads of all levels of government committees, agencies, and units in the entire political system, the business community, and all classes of people to complete the goals and tasks in 2020.

At this session, the Yen Bai Provincial People's Council discussed statutory reports, reviewed and approved the Resolution on the supervision program of the Provincial People's Council in 2021, decided on 8 Resolutions within its authority and appropriate legal corridor to promote socio-economic development in the context of the current impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and at the same time questioned a number of issues of concern to voters and people.
The 17th session of the 17th Yen Bai Provincial People's Council took place over 2 days, July 3-4./.
