The initial cause of the fire was determined to be that a household near Quynh village, Chau Binh commune (Quy Chau) while burning to treat the ground cover caused the fire to spread to the acacia forest.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai - Vice Chairman of Quy Chau District People's Committee - the commander of the fire fighting forces at the scene, said: Despite the hot weather and difficult terrain, thanks to the timely mobilization of forces, the fire was extinguished by 2:00 p.m. the same day.
