Awarding the Decision to appoint Chief Justice of Nghe An Provincial People's Court

At the ceremony, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh presented Decision No. 1186/QD-TCCB dated July 24, 2020 of the Supreme People's Court appointing comrade Tran Ngoc Son - Deputy Chief Justice of the People's Court of Nghe An province to hold the position of Chief Justice of the People's Court of Nghe An province. Comrade Tran Ngoc Son's term of office is 5 years, starting from August 1, 2020.

In the coming time, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh requested Comrade Tran Ngoc Son to continue to promote the tradition of the Party Committee of the People's Court of Nghe An province; continue to train and make more efforts in his new position, fulfill his responsibility to set an example, together with the collective leadership, cadres and employees to maintain discipline, promote the spirit of solidarity, and implement good relations between judicial agencies to excellently complete the tasks.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court thanked the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for paying close attention to the activities of judicial agencies, including the two-level People's Court, and hoped that in the coming time, the two-level People's Court of Nghe An will continue to receive close and effective direction from the province.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy congratulated comrade Tran Ngoc Son and shared joy with all cadres and civil servants of the Nghe An Provincial Court.

In his new position, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that Comrade Tran Ngoc Son immediately get to work, continue to make efforts to practice, promote the responsibility of setting an example and the responsibility of the unit's head, together with the collective leadership, cadres and civil servants of the industry to promote the spirit of solidarity, uphold discipline and order, and strive to complete the assigned tasks well.

Focus on reviewing and resolving pending civil and administrative cases; adjudicating criminal cases within the time limit prescribed by law; improving the quality of litigation in court; improving the quality of trials; preventing wrongful convictions and letting criminals escape; imposing strict penalties to ensure deterrence, education and prevention; promoting mediation in resolving civil cases; and enhancing dialogue in resolving administrative cases.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the new Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court to lead and direct the implementation of the project on organization of the apparatus according to the Law on Organization of the People's Court and resolutions and decrees of the Central and Government; build a team of responsible and dedicated people to meet increasingly high work requirements; and strictly implement regulations on public service ethics.

The new Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court also needs to pay attention to understanding the aspirations, thoughts and lives of cadres and civil servants in the entire sector; focus on building strong Party organizations and mass organizations.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy suggested that each cadre and civil servant in the provincial Court sector must uphold the spirit of "Serving the public, following the law, being fair and impartial", solidarity, responsibility, collaboration, and making efforts in work to help the Chief Justice fulfill his duties well.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Secretary respectfully thanked Comrade Ho Dinh Trung - former Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court for his great contributions and dedication; at the same time, wished him continued success in his new position and always accompanied and followed the development of the industry in particular and the province in general.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chief Justice of Nghe An Provincial People's Court, Tran Ngoc Son, promised to continue to strive, practice, improve his qualifications, work together, and unite to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

Comrade Tran Ngoc Son was born on June 15, 1968. His hometown is Van Dien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province. He started working in the Court sector in 1991 and has been associated with the Vinh City People's Court for many years.

In 1995, he was appointed by the President as a Judge of the People's Court of Vinh City, at that time he was one of the few youngest judges in the country to be appointed.

He has worked at the People's Court of Nghe An province since October 2006 and has held many different positions before being appointed Chief Justice of the People's Court of Nghe An province.
