Controlling forest fire in Hung Nguyen (Nghe An)
(Baonghean.vn) - By noon today, July 26, the forest fire that occurred in Hung Yen Nam commune, Hung Nguyen district (Nghe An) has been controlled. The government still assigned forces to guard the area to prevent the fire from rekindling.

According to information from the authorities of Hung Yen Nam commune, Hung Nguyen district, at around 9 pm on July 25, a fire suddenly broke out in a pine and cajuput forest in hamlet 8, Hung Yen Nam commune.
The local authorities mobilized local people and forces to go to the forest to put out the fire, and at the same time reported to the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen district for support solutions.

By around 2am on July 26, the fire was basically under control. However, after 3 hours, the fire flared up again, forcing people and authorities to work hard to put it out.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen Nam commune said: "After 6 hours of efforts to save the forest, by about 11 am today, the fire in hamlet 8 was completely extinguished. We have directed the force to completely extinguish the remaining fire and at the same time assigned people to be on duty to prevent the fire from coming back."

The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
