(Baonghean.vn) - Knowing a drug dealer in Que Phong, Quy went to buy 1 kg of crystal meth, but was arrested on the way back.

On July 27, Nghe An Provincial People's Court opened a first-instance criminal trial against Ho Dinh Quy (born 1984), residing in Xuan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, for the crime of illegal possession of narcotics.
According to the investigation agency's documents, around December 2019, Ho Dinh Quy was working in an industrial park in Di An town (Binh Duong province) when he met and got to know a man named Nu, residing in Tri Le commune, Que Phong district. Nu told Quy that there were a lot of drugs in Tri Le commune, if needed, he could call Nu.

On the afternoon of March 19, 2020, while in his hometown, Quy called Nu to buy drugs for use. The two sides agreed on the price of 1 kg of drugs at 270 million VND.

At around 0:00 on March 20, 2020, Nu delivered drugs to Quy. At around 2:00 on the same day, Quy took the drugs home by taxi and was discovered and caught red-handed by the working group of Quy Chau District Police. It is known that Ho Dinh Quy has been to prison 3 times for theft of property.
At court, the defendant admitted his crime and asked for a lighter sentence. Considering the case as a whole, the panel sentenced the defendant to 20 years in prison for illegal possession of narcotics./.
