The Ministry of Health confirmed that the information on Facebook citing statements said to be made by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam about the COVID-19 epidemic is completely inaccurate.

On the afternoon of July 27, the Ministry of Health officially spoke out about some information posted on a Facebook account, citing statements said to be from Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam about the COVID-19 epidemic.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Health confirmed that this is fake news. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam did not make such statements. The Ministry of Health asked people not to share the above information.

The agency said that the official statements of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam will be posted on the Government's electronic information portal and the Ministry of Health's electronic information portal - the standing agency of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Previously, a Facebook account named “Thuy Xuan” posted a status about the COVID-19 epidemic situation in Vietnam being “very tense”.

It is worth mentioning that this account wrote a lot of unverified information, claiming that this was a statement from Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.
