(Baonghean.vn) - The Investigation Police Agency issued decisions to prosecute the case of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties", prosecuting 3 defendants including: Nguyen Tam Long, Acting Head of the Ethnic Policy Department, Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An province and Director and Deputy Director of Van Son Construction Joint Stock Company.
On July 31, 2020, the Economic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police said: The investigation process is expanding the case.“Regarding the case of "embezzlement of property" occurring at the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An province, on July 30, 2020, the Investigation Police Agency (Nghe An Provincial Police) issued decisions to supplement the criminal case of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences"”, prosecuted the accused Nguyen Tam Long, born in 1974, residing in Hoa Tien hamlet, Hung Loc commune, Vinh city, Acting Head of the Ethnic Policy Department (Ethnic Committee of Nghe An province) for the crime of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences".

Same day (July 30),The police investigation agency also issued decisions to prosecute the case.“Taking advantage of position and power while performing official duties", prosecuted 3 defendants including: Nguyen Tam Long (born in 1974), residing in Hoa Tien hamlet, Hung Loc commune, Vinh city, Acting Head of Ethnic Policy Department, Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An province; Le Van Son (born in 1962), residing in hamlet 20, Quynh Van commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An, Director of Van Son Construction Joint Stock Company and Nguyen Dinh Thinh, born in 1981, residing in hamlet 20, Quynh Van commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An, Deputy Director of Van Son Construction Joint Stock Company.
The above decisions have been approved by the People's Procuracy of Nghe An province.

Previously, on July 23, 2020, the Investigation Police Agency, Nghe An Provincial Police arrested the detainee in an emergency, searched the residence and workplace of Mr. Nguyen Tam Long and Le Van Son to investigate and clarify violations related to the case of Embezzlement of property at the Nghe An Provincial Ethnic Committee, for which the Investigation Police Agency initiated a case and prosecuted the accused Kim Van Bon, born in 1982, an officer of the Policy Department, Nghe An Provincial Ethnic Committee.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police has issued a decision to temporarily detain Nguyen Tam Long and Le Van Son for 4 months; and prohibit Nguyen Dinh Thinh from leaving his place of residence.
The case is currently being investigated and clarified by the Economic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police./.
