Ministry of Education and Training guides the organization of high school graduation exams in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic
The Ministry of Education and Training has just sent a telegram to the People's Committees of provinces and cities on organizing the 2020 High School Graduation Exam in the context of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, in the face of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic in some localities, implementing the conclusion of the Prime Minister at the regular Government meeting in July 2020, the Ministry of Education and Training guides the organization of the 2020 High School Graduation Exam (hereinafter referred to as the Exam) as follows:
Localities implementing social distancing according to Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister on urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic (such as Da Nang city and some districts, towns and cities in Quang Nam province) will postpone the exam to an appropriate time; the exam time will be proposed by localities after the Covid-19 epidemic is controlled, ensuring safety for the exam organization.
The remaining localities will organize the exam as planned (from August 8 to 10, 2020); strictly implement disease prevention and control measures according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Training.

To ensure safety and prevent epidemics during the organization of the Exam (from August 8 to 10, 2020), candidates in the F1 and F2 categories nationwide (if any) will take the exam at the same time as candidates from localities that have to postpone the exam due to social distancing.
Candidates taking the exam after August 10, 2020 who wish to use their high school graduation exam results for university admission, the Ministry of Education and Training will direct higher education institutions to consider arranging appropriate enrollment quotas and methods to ensure the rights of candidates, in the spirit of university autonomy.
The Ministry of Education and Training requests the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to direct the development of specific plans to organize the Exam to ensure absolute safety for candidates and officials and teachers working on the exam; carefully and fully prepare human resources, facilities and equipment to organize the Exam in the locality to ensure safety, seriousness, quality, and compliance with the Exam Regulations; proactively review and classify candidates in the F1 and F2 categories (if any), and send the list to the Ministry of Education and Training before August 12, 2020.
