Female subject arrested for transporting 2kg of opium and a large amount of firecrackers
(Baonghean.vn) - Hung Nguyen District Police (Nghe An) discovered and arrested Nguyen Thi Huong while she was illegally transporting 2 kg of opium and 30 kg of firecrackers.

Accordingly, at around 2:00 p.m. on August 4, in hamlet 5, Hung Thinh commune, Hung Nguyen district, Hung Nguyen district police coordinated with Traffic Patrol Team 1-46, Traffic Police Department of Nghe An province and Nghe An Customs Department to break up a case, catching Nguyen Thi Huong (born in 1984), residing in Som Kim commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, red-handed while illegally transporting drugs and firecrackers for sale.
At the scene, the authorities discovered 2 kg of opium and 30 kg of firecrackers, mainly 36 pieces, in the suspect's vehicle.

At the police station, the subject confessed that Huong took the opium and firecrackers from a person (specific address unknown) with the intention of bringing them to Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces for consumption.
The case is currently under further investigation.
