The Ministry of Health has just announced that as of 6 p.m. on August 5, Vietnam had 43 more Covid-19 cases in the day, including 40 cases related to Da Nang, and 1 case quarantined after entering the country.
On the afternoon of August 5, Vietnam recorded 41 more Covid-19 cases from case 673 to 713, bringing the total number of cases in the day to 43, including in Da Nang (34 cases), Lang Son (4 cases), Bac Giang (2 cases), related to Da Nang and 1 case quarantined immediately after entering the country in Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

INFORMATION ABOUT 41 NEW CASES (BN673-713):in Da Nang (34), Lang Son (4), Bac Giang (2), related to Da Nang and 1 case isolated immediately after entering the country in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Specifically:
1. CASE 673-678 (BN673-678): TBac Giang: 2, Lang Son: 4 - with family, aged 10-41, with a tourist group in Da Nang. Currently, 6 patients are isolated and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, branch 2.
2. CASE 679 (BN679): Male patient, 44 years old, quarantined immediately after entering Ba Ria - Vung Tau, tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 for the third time, related to flight IO4405 from the Russian Federation to Tan Son Nhat Airport on July 11 (previously recorded 17 positive cases). The patient is currently being quarantined and treated at Ba Ria Hospital.
3. CASES 680-713 (BN680-713):In Da Nang, age from 1 - 75, including:
- 14 cases are F1 of patients related to Da Nang Hospital
- 10 cases are patients at Da Nang Hospital
- 7 cases are caregivers at Da Nang Hospital
- 1 patient is a medical staff at Da Nang Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital
- 1 case is a police officer guarding prisoners at the Department of Nephrology - Endocrinology, Da Nang Hospital
- 1 case in Lien Chieu district, Da Nang.
Total number of cases: 713 cases
- As of 6:00 p.m. on August 5: Vietnam has a total of 713 COVID-19 cases, of which 309 imported cases were quarantined immediately.
- Number of new cases related to Da Nang from July 25 to present: 264 cases.
Total number of people in close contact and entering from epidemic areas being monitored for health (quarantined): 120,041, of which:
- Concentrated quarantine at hospital: 1,565
- Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 20,645
- Isolation at home, place of residence: 97,831
According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control:
- 03 patients were announced to be cured at Hoa Lu District Medical Center, Ninh Binh: Patient 391 (male, 24 years old), Patient 393 (male, 26 years old), Patient 395 (male, 26 years old).
- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 for the first time: 22 cases.
- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 twice or more: 11 cases.
- Number of deaths: 8 cases.
- Cured: 381 cases./.
