Nghe An: Highlights on August 10

*COn the afternoon of August 10, the Provincial Party Standing Committee worked with the Provincial Public Security Party Standing Committee.give comments on content, personnelCongress of Delegates of Nghe An Provincial Police Party CommitteeXIV term, 2020 - 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy acknowledged the direction of the congresses of grassroots party committees and branches and the preparation work for the Provincial Public Security Party Congress, and emphasized a number of key tasks for the Provincial Public Security Party Committee.

That is, Party committees at all levels need to continue to lead the implementation of measures to ensure social order and safety, which is extremely important because it is directly related to people's lives.

In particular, the police force needs to have a plan to ensure good security and order in economic zones and industrial parks when the number of workers is increasing; at the same time, fight against environmental crimes, commercial fraud, violations of food safety and hygiene, illegal mining, etc.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the provincial police force to resolutely fight against drug crimes; firmly protect national security associated with ensuring security in special areas; and build a regular, elite force.

The 14th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Police Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term is held under the motto: "Proactive - Creative - Solidarity - Discipline - Exemplary - Responsibility - Efficiency", and is expected to take place in 1.5 days, with the official opening session on the morning of August 26.

The meeting aimed to discuss the 4th draft of the Political Report of the 19th Provincial Party Congress; the 2nd draft of the Review Report of the 18th Provincial Party Executive Committee; the 1st draft of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress; the 1st draft of the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

Regarding the draft Political Report, the Standing Committee of the Document Subcommittee has collected opinions through many channels and received many enthusiastic and profound comments from organizations and individuals inside and outside the province.

The comments have supplemented more fully and accurately the assessment of the results achieved in the past term, deeply analyzed the limitations, shortcomings, causes, especially subjective causes; suggested the contents that need to be clarified in the orientation of viewpoints, goals, tasks, and solutions for the next term and the following years.

At the preparatory session, the Congress voted to approve the list of the Presidium consisting of 7 comrades; the Secretariat consisting of 2 comrades; and the Delegate Qualification Examination Committee consisting of 7 comrades.

The Congress voted to approve the Program, Working Regulations, and Internal Rules of the Congress; thoroughly grasping the basic contents of the Party's Election Regulations.

The Congress also listened to a report summarizing opinions and discussed comments on the draft documents of the 13th National Party Congress, the Political Report of the 19th Provincial Party Congress; and listened to a report on the draft Action Program to implement the resolution of the 28th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

On the second day of the exam, it was generally noted that the exam sites in Nghe An province went smoothly and safely. However, there were also a few unexpected incidents that attracted public attention:

At around 7:05 a.m. on August 10 (the second day of the 2020 high school graduation exam), at the Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted exam site (Vinh City), a female candidate forgot her exam card and called home in panic but could not contact her family. Upon learning of the incident, Lieutenant Nguyen Xuan Manh - a soldier from the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) who was participating in "Supporting the Exam Season" at the school, reassured her and immediatelytake candidates home3 km away to get the card. With that urgent support, Lieutenant Manh supported the candidate to be present for the exam on time according to regulations.

Previously, on the first day of the exam, a candidate at the exam site of Le Viet Thuat High Schoolmust go to the emergency room immediatelywhen starting the second exam. This case is eligible for special treatment, but must follow the regulations.

Accordingly, the candidate was a former student at Vinh University High School for the Gifted. Yesterday afternoon (August 9), before the Math exam - the second exam subject, this candidate fainted when he arrived at the exam location (at 1:45 p.m.). Immediately after that, the exam council called an ambulance to take this candidate to the hospital.

In this case, according to Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the 2020 High School Graduation Exam in Nghe An province: If a candidate is sick or has an unexpected accident before or during the exam day, special consideration may be given. However, it must be implemented in accordance with the 2020 High School Graduation Exam Regulations.

*TRecently, many traders in Quynh Luu district, Hoang Mai town (Nghe An)buy golden apple snailin large quantities. Therefore, many people flock to the fields to "hunt" golden apple snails to sell and protect crops.

According to the people, some traders buy the whole snail, but some traders require preliminary processing, removing the intestines before buying, the price is 20,000 VND/kg (snail intestines). Traders also said that after purchasing, golden apple snails are transported to provinces such as Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa... to be used as food for lobsters, basa fish, red tilapia...

Collecting golden apple snails is a win-win situation, as it provides people with extra income and helps protect crops from being damaged by golden apple snails.

*Gsave 2 girlsNghe An locked up, beaten and forced to serve karaoke customers. Two 16-year-old girls from Con Cuong district (Nghe An) were just rescued by the district police that night from a house in Bac Giang province.

Previously, on August 6, 2020, the Criminal Investigation Department of Con Cuong District Police received a report from the families of the two victims stating that Kha Thi N. (born 2004) and Nguyen Thi Thu X. (born 2005) were tricked and sold into prostitution in Yen The District, Bac Giang Province in June 2020.
