On the afternoon of August 13th, Vietnam recorded 22 new cases of Covid-19.
As of 6 PM on August 13th, Vietnam had a total of 905 COVID-19 cases, including 20 deaths.
The Ministry of Health reported 22 new cases of Covid-19, including 14 in Da Nang, 2 in Quang Nam, 1 in Quang Tri, and 5 in Khanh Hoa who were immediately quarantined upon entry.

- CASE 885 (BN885):A 63-year-old woman from Hai Chau District, Da Nang, is a family member of a patient being treated at Da Nang Hospital.
- CASE 886 (BN886):A 64-year-old woman from Binh Son, Quang Ngai, is a family member of a patient being treated at Da Nang Hospital.

- CASE 893 (BN893):Female, 48 years old, Thanh Khe, Da Nang.
- CASE 894 (BN894):Female, 21 years old, Thanh Khe, Da Nang.
- CASE 895 (BN895):Female, 17 years old, Thanh Khe, Da Nang.
- CASE 896 (BN896):Female, 73 years old, Thanh Khe, Da Nang.
- CASE 897 (BN897):Male, 35 years old, Cam Le, Da Nang.

- CASE 898 (BN898):A 27-year-old woman from Duy Xuyen, Quang Nam, had contact with patient 796.
- CASE 899 (BN899):A 27-year-old man from Yen Thanh, Tay Thanh, Nghe An, was quarantined immediately after entering the country.
- CASE 900 (BN900):Female, 45 years old, from Yen Hoa, Tam Hiep, Dong Nai, quarantined immediately after entry.
- CASE 901 (BN901):Female, 27 years old, from Chi Linh, Hai Duong, quarantined immediately after entry.
- CASE 902 (BN902):A 24-year-old man from Quynh Luu, Nghe An, was quarantined immediately after entering the country.
- CASE 903 (BN903):Female, 23 years old, from Huong Khe, Ha Tinh, quarantined immediately after entering the country.
- Patient 899, Patient 900, Patient 901, Patient 902, Patient 903:Five individuals from Japan who arrived at Cam Ranh airport on flight VJ7387 on August 5, 2020, were immediately placed in centralized quarantine in Khanh Hoa province upon arrival.
- CASE 904 (BN904):Female, 36 years old, from Dong Ha, Quang Tri, had contact with Patient 750.
- CASE 905 (BN905):A 65-year-old man from Dien Ban, Quang Nam, visits a patient receiving treatment at Da Nang Hospital.
As of 6 PM on August 13th, Vietnam had a total of 905 COVID-19 cases, of which 438 new cases were related to Da Nang since July 25th.
Total number of people in close contact and those entering from epidemic areas who are being monitored for their health (quarantined): 133,340, including:
- Centralized isolation at hospitals: 5,361
- Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 25,043
- Isolation at home or place of residence: 102,936
According to a report from the Treatment Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, on August 13, 12 patients were declared recovered:
+ 10 patients at Hoa Vang Field Hospital (Da Nang City): BN466, BN469, BN495, BN555, BN581, BN638, BN665, BN682, BN685, BN730
+ 2 patients at Quang Nam Central General Hospital: Patient 716, Patient 719
- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 on the first test: 35.
- Number of cases with two or more negative test results for SARS-CoV-2: 51 cases.
- Number of deaths: 20 cases.
