It is called a family library because the library is located in each village and opened right at the teachers' homes. Every week, to have enough books for students, teachers will go to school to receive books and then return to their homes for students to read according to the schedule. After nearly 8 years of working with students in Can village (Tam Thai commune), teacher Kha Thi Hang said: Students in the highlands love to read books, but buying a story book is very difficult for them because their houses are far from the center and there are not many book stores in the area. Therefore, when the library model came into operation, students in the village were very excited. Photo: Duc Anh |

To have these books, throughout the school year, schools have used their savings or mobilized donations from charitable organizations and benefactors to support books. Thanks to friendly libraries in schools, the movement of reading books and following books has also developed. Photo: Duc Anh |

Creating a habit of reading also helps students limit their exposure to computers, phones and televisions. In addition, by regularly going to school and meeting teachers during the summer, students will not forget their books and school. Photo: Duc Anh |

Many parents and teachers said that in the context of the complicated Covid-19 epidemic, the children reading books in the library makes them feel very secure. "The children just read books and then go home, not contacting strangers, so parents trust them to go to work in the fields. We consider this the most effective way to avoid Covid these days," said a parent in Tam Thai commune. Photo: Duc Anh |
