The Cash-strapped Man's Planned Date
Dinh Dinh Dung lured his 37-year-old girlfriend to confide in him at the foot of a deserted hill, then stabbed her unconscious in order to rob her of her property.
On September 4, Dinh Dinh Dung, 40 years old, residing in Hai Son ward, Do Son district (Hai Phong) was transferred by Do Son district police to the Criminal Police Department of the City Police to investigate under their authority for murder and robbery.

At around 6:30 p.m. on September 1, at Doc Hill, residents of Dong residential group, Hai Son ward, Do Son district discovered Ms. Tran Thi Hoa, 37 years old, in critical condition with multiple stab wounds.
Less than 90 minutes later, the suspect in Ms. Hoa's murder, Dung, was arrested in the area of Nguyen Huu Cau Street, Hai Son Ward.
Dung confessed that he had a relationship with Ms. Hoa and was in debt, so he had the intention of killing his girlfriend to steal her property.
At around 5:30 p.m. on September 1, Dung prepared a folding knife and arranged to meet Ms. Hoa at the deserted Doc Hill area in Hai Son Ward. There, after being intimate, Dung committed the crime. Seeing the victim unconscious, he took all of her personal belongings, including a gold ring, earrings, necklace, cell phone, and motorbike.
The murder weapon and all evidence have been recovered. Ms. Hoa is out of danger.
