Nguyen Trai Secondary School, formerly known as C2 Nguyen Trai Gifted School, is tasked with being the district's high-quality educational center, training and nurturing excellent students and teachers. Since 2015, the school has been accepting more general students from the town.

From 2015 to now, there have been 1,073 excellent students at district level, 61 excellent students at provincial level, including 3 first prizes; 38 students passed the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau specialized school and 36 students passed the entrance exam to Vinh University specialized school. In 2015, the school was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal.

In the 2020 - 2021 school year, Nguyen Trai Secondary School has 19 classes with 719 students; this is the second year of implementing the pilot construction of a high-quality key school in the province.

At the ceremony, comrade Ngoc Kim Nam beat the drum to open the school year and presented flowers and gifts to teachers and students of the school.
