Through the process of verifying and gathering information, using professional measures, Thai Hoa Town Police identified two groups of subjects stealing dogs from people in the border areas between Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghia Dan, Tan Ky districts...
The group was led by Nguyen Buu Loc (born in 1982), residing in Tu An ward, Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak, who has 7 criminal records (including 2 convictions for dog theft) and the remaining group was led by Trinh Anh Tu (born in 1968), residing in Quang Phong ward, Thai Hoa town. A special project was established to combat.
After a period of time, when having collected sufficient information, documents, methods and laws of criminal activities of the subjects, the Special Task Force decided to solve the case.
In the early morning of September 13, 2020, the Task Force simultaneously caught four subjects including Nguyen Huu Hieu, Trinh Anh Tu and Vi Van Quyet in the act of buying and selling stolen dogs and Nguyen Buu Loc in the act of stealing dogs.

During the process of discovering and arresting the subjects, they used weapons to fiercely fight back against the arresting force. However, with professional measures, the Task Force ensured the safety of the participating forces and the subjects.
At the scene, the authorities seized many weapons, tools, and vehicles used by the subjects to steal dogs and more than 1 ton of various types of dogs that the subjects had stolen before.
Through initial investigation, the Task Force identified the area where in one night the subjects stole 400 - 500 kg of dogs, equivalent to 25-30 million VND.
Currently, the case is being further investigated by Thai Hoa Town Police according to the provisions of law.
