Beautiful VTV MC did not register but still had her name in the Miss Vietnam 2020 contest

A few days ago, on the fanpage ofMiss Vietnam 2020posted the image and information of contestant Ngo Thi Mai Phuong, born in 1997, originally from Hai Phong, 1m75 tall, participating in the contest. However, MC Mai Phuong was surprised and said she did not submit her application until the Miss Vietnam Organizing Committee called to check.

MC Mai Phuong said that until now she still does not know who registered her for the contest.

"When the contest started, many people from my office, family, friends and club audience advised me to enter the contest. My mother was the one who called to ask about my participation in the beauty pageant when she suddenly received the news. In my family, my parents do not pay much attention to beauty contests but are more concerned with work," MC Mai Phuong shared.

VTV MC surprised because without registering, still had her name on the list to compete in Miss Vietnam 2020.

"After the information was posted, I confirmed that I did not register for the exam, but everyone still advised me to take the exam, so I am considering it. Partly because I do not feel confident because I have not taken the exam for a long time, I am "lazy" about the feeling of competition. Currently, I have a job and compared to the average of candidates, I am quite a bit older because they are mainly 18 and 19 years old.

In particular, I also have a part of the audience who knows me, so as a contestant, I am worried that I will not do well. The organizers have contacted me and I think the contest can be an advanced class for me and learn many other skills. Up to now, about 70-80% of me will participate in the contest," MC Mai Phuong shared more.

Talking about her current job, Mai Phuong said she isworking at VTV, hostHappy lunchon VTV6 and several other programs. In addition, she takes lookbook photos for fashion brands in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to these jobs, Mai Phuong invests in cosmetics and fashion businesses and has a stable income.

Mai Phuong said that in 2016, she won the first runner-up prize in the contest.Vietnamese female studentsbut at that time she was not yet 19 years old. If she went to the competition, she would be very confident in her behavior, communication, and knowledge but not confident in catwalk and posing.

"In recent years, most of the beauty queens are very young, maybe they don't have much knowledge, but their abilities related to appearance are very good. You are like unpolished gems, so you have a lot of potential to participate. I feel that I am inferior to you in this point, but with the encouragement of everyone and the organizing committee, I am more confident," Mai Phuong added.

Talking about her immediate plans for the competition, Mai Phuong said she will focus on improving stage-related skills, such as attending catwalk classes, practicing her body, etc.

When asked whether the role isVTV MCWill it bring an advantage in the competition compared to other contestants? Mai Phuong said that this only helps contestants get more attention, and the chances of contestants in front of the judges are the same. "Before, I had not participated much in art, and was quite private about my life. Participating in the contest created pressure that forced me to face it, trying to do everything properly, so as not to disappoint anyone," MC Mai Phuong said about her decision.

Mai Phuong said that to participate in the contest, she will put her current job on hold. She revealed that she has received an invitation to participate in a movie with the participation of many famous artists. If the Miss Vietnam 2020 contest and the movie take place at the same time, she will have to consider choosing one of the two.
