(Baonghean.vn) - "Finding a market for domestic specialty aquaculture products must be considered the top important solution in building and perfecting the project" is the direction of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu at the working session this morning.
This morning, September 16, under the chairmanship of comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee listened to and gave opinions on completing the project "Developing domestic specialty aquaculture in Nghe An province for the period 2020 - 2025".
Nghe An is a coastal province with 6 estuaries, potential areas that can be put into use.aquaculture(NTTS) is 52,092 hectares. In 2019, the production value reached 149 billion 165 million VND, a number of valuable specialty aquatic product models were built; contributing significantly to the implementation of the project.Restructuring the agricultural sector, create jobs and increase income for people.

This is considered an industry with great potential for development, as market demand is currently shifting towards quality specialty products with high nutritional value. In the context of ongoing disease outbreaks in farmed shrimp and terrestrial animals, the demand for domestic specialty seafood - which is less affected by widespread disease outbreaks - is forecast to continue to increase, with a diverse and potential consumer market not only in the province but also throughout the country.
Project to identify and develop domestic specialty aquaculture on the basis ofscientific applications, advanced technology, reasonable production organization, efficiency and high competitiveness, improving income and living standards of farmers and fishermen while protecting the ecological environment, aquatic resources and contributing to national defense and security in the sea and islands.
Accordingly, by 2025, the value of domestic specialty aquaculture will reach 250 - 300 billion VND, 1,200 cages, and 30,000 m2 of tanks.2, output 4,900 - 5,000 tons, creating jobs for about 10 thousand regular and seasonal workers.

In his concluding remarks, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu stated: Developing domestic specialty aquaculture, in addition to economic development and ensuring social security, also contributes significantly to environmental protection and reducing wild fishing. “The most difficult issue now is consumption. If it is really effective and the output is stable, people will proactively develop.
