That was Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, born in 1990 (hometown: Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho province), residing in village 5, Thanh Ha commune, Thanh Chuong district. The cause was due to the floodwaters of his family's weighing station, Mr. Tuan dove in to fix it and drowned.

According to a quick report from the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control, heavy rains have affected many agricultural areas. Specifically: Vinh city: 14 hectares of vegetables in Hung Dong commune were flooded; About 15 hectares of corn in Thanh Mai commune (Thanh Chuong) are likely to be completely lost.

Quynh Luu district has about 70 hectares of rice flooded, 40 hectares of corn broken, 60 hectares of young corn flooded. Nghi Loc district: 1,500 hectares of rice, 200 hectares of corn, 80 hectares of peanuts, 150 hectares of vegetables flooded. Dien Chau district: 400 hectares of corn and peanuts temporarily flooded; 150 hectares of corn broken, of which 100 hectares of corn ready for harvest were severely affected.

Regarding traffic, some routes such as National Highway 48E: There are 3 flooded locations, Da Han spillway Km39+400 (Quynh Thang commune, Quynh Luu district): flooded 0.6m; Spillway Km59+950 (Nghia Binh commune, Nghia Dan district): flooded 0.5m; Spillway Km61+800 (Nghia Binh commune, Nghia Dan district): flooded 0.4m.

National Highway 16: There are more than 100 landslide locations, causing traffic congestion.

National Highway 15: There is 1 flooded location at Km227+400 (Nghi Hoa commune, Nghi Loc district).

Provincial Road 541B: There are 2 locations flooded 0.4m deep at Cha Lap 1 and Cha Lap 2 spillways (Tam Thai commune, Tuong Duong district).

Provincial Road 534B: There is one location flooded 0.6m deep at Khe San spillway Km22+200 (Thanh Son commune, Anh Son district).

Provincial Road 544: There are 2 locations flooded 0.3m deep at spillway Km23+850 and spillway Km25+250 (Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district).

At flooded points, management units have closed roads and assigned guards to ensure traffic safety.
