US Secretary of State: 'Russians will not be able to influence the election results'
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Russia will not be able to influence the outcome of the upcoming November 3 election in the US.
"We have made it clear to the Russians that such action is unacceptable, and I am confident that we will ensure that the election is protected and secure, in which the Russians will not be able to influence the election results," Mr. Mike Pompeo said in an interview on Sunday with WISC-TV.

Pompeo said that Moscow had triedimpact on the 2016 election and the 2018 midterm elections. "I am confident that in 2018, the Trump administration protected every vote. And now we will do the same," the US Secretary of State added.
FBI Director Christopher Wray previously said that Russia was trying to influence the 2020 US election, but did not touch the infrastructure. However, he did not provide any evidence. In addition, US intelligence suspects that the Russian Federation, China and Iran want to interfere in the 2020 US election.
Russia has repeatedly denied allegations of trying to influence democratic processes in various countries, with Russian President Dmitry Peskov calling them "absolutely baseless." Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also said there were no facts to support the accusations against Russia.
