(Baonghean.vn) - In order to contribute to bringing children a warm and loving Mid-Autumn Festival, the atmosphere of preparation and celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival is taking place excitedly and bustlingly in all localities in the province.

Making lanterns and cakes to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

The atmosphere of preparing for Mid-Autumn Festival this year in Nghe An is reflected in many activities, in which the program "Lantern of Love" of the Youth Union is quite prominent. In recent days, young people in many districts and towns in the province such as Tan Ky, Do Luong, Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Nam Dan, Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen ... have organized toy making programs.Mid-Autumn Festivalfor children from available materials. On this occasion, the youth unions of communes and wards have coordinated with kindergartens, primary schools, border guards, agencies and units located in the area to organize a program to make Mid-Autumn lanterns. To make "special" Mid-Autumn toys from familiar materials such as bamboo, paper, plastic pipes, the units have to spend time to learn and research...

Mr. Tran Van Quyet - Secretary of the Youth Union of Nam Anh Commune (Nam Dan) said: On this occasion, the Youth Union of the commune coordinated with the local primary school to organize the making of paper lanterns for children. In a short time, 70 beautiful lanterns were completed. These lanterns and many other gifts will be given to children at the local Full Moon Festival.

For primary school students, making Mid-Autumn Festival toys is an engaging and attractive activity. This is also an opportunity for them to experience reality and let their imaginations run wild. The children are guided by the members of the Youth Union and young people to make toys in groups, to support each other, and to promote the creativity of each individual and the group. Thanks to the enthusiastic and thoughtful guidance of the members of the Youth Union and young people, the primary school students have been able to make simple Mid-Autumn Festival toys such as star lanterns and traditional lanterns with great excitement and eagerness.

The program of making Mid-Autumn Festival toys from available materials not only helps children have more unique and attractive Mid-Autumn Festival toys, but also provides an opportunity for young people of units and children to exchange, experience and learn many useful skills. Some units also organize traditional Mid-Autumn Festival lantern making competitions, awarding prizes to teams with excellent products and good presentations, such as the Bac Son Commune Group (Do Luong), making the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere even more joyful.

Mr. Nguyen Dat Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Ky Son commune (Tan Ky) shared: Although the Mid-Autumn toys are made from available materials, environmentally friendly, and not very sharp in terms of aesthetics, they convey all the heart and affection for the children, wishing them a warmer Mid-Autumn Festival.

In addition to the Mid-Autumn Festival toy making movement of the Youth Union, local people in the province are also actively preparing to make cakes, wrap Chung cakes, and makelantern, practicelion dance, organize solidarity meals, decorate village streets and alleys, to welcome Mid-Autumn Festival. The joyful atmosphere of Mid-Autumn Festival is taking place from the countryside to the city, from the highlands to the lowlands.

People in Ky Son commune (Tan Ky) are excited with the Mid-Autumn Festival art program performed by each hamlet. People in Phuc Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) are busy decorating tractors to be sparkling and brilliant to carry star lanterns on the Full Moon Festival night. Some villages in Thanh Chuong district have the tradition of making lanterns and wrapping Mid-Autumn Chung cakes to give to children, such as Duong Nam hamlet (Thanh Duong commune), Trung Long (Thanh Yen commune) ... are planning to organize a festival to wrap cakes and make lanterns.

This year, after the merger, the number of children in the hamlet has doubled from last year. Each hamlet plans to wrap 400-500 banh chung, cook them together at the hamlet's cultural house to give to children on the full moon festival night... Mid-Autumn Festival is coming to the homeland of Nghe An.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival early

In the bustling atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival in all the countrysides of Nghe An, some departments, branches and volunteer clubs in the localities have organized an early Mid-Autumn Festival for local children.

At Ky Son District Medical Center, the Youth Police, the District Military Command, the State Treasury, the Procuracy, and the Ky Son District Medical Center coordinated to organize a Mid-Autumn Festival program for children being treated here. In a warm atmosphere, the organizers presented 162 gifts of star lanterns and candies to children being treated at the center. In the bustling sound of lion dances, along with attractive Mid-Autumn Festival dishes, the Mid-Autumn Festival of the children in the mountain town was quite impressive. Students with high academic achievements, poor students who overcame difficulties were given gifts of encouragement by departments, branches, and volunteer clubs.

Mid-Autumn Festival also came to children in Thanh Chuong resettlement area in the full moon festival "Love Moon" organized by Nghe An Press Alliance Club in coordination with the People's Committee and Thanh Chuong District Youth Union. The festival attracted a large number of children from Ngoc Lam and Thanh Son communes. The organizing committee presented 1,100 gifts of candy, star lanterns, cash and 6 bicycles to the children. In addition to giving gifts, the program also included free medical examination and medicine for students in the area.

Mr. Vi Van Vung - Secretary of the Youth Union of Ngoc Lam commune shared: "The Moon of Love" is a program with practical meaning. People in the resettlement area feel excited to receive the loving hearts of everyone. Hopefully in the coming time, the villagers will continue to receive the attention of departments and branches, the support of benefactors, to organize more meaningful programs like this.
