The Miss Vietnam (HHVN) 2020 contest has attracted many special contestants. Hoang Thi Ngoc Yen - the owner of a bakery in Vinh city is an example. The girl born in 2000 said that the seriousness and kindness of the HHVN contest made her more confident, even though she is just the owner of a small bakery far from the capital.

The story of the long journey toMiss VietnamYen's 2020 made many people emotional. Yesterday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., she was on her way to Hanoi, staying at a friend's motel to wake up early the next morning to go to the Preliminary Round. Yen said that the two days before that, she did not sleep to focus on making cakes to deliver to customers. Arrived in Hanoi at 12:00 a.m., woke up at 4:00 a.m. to do her own hair, put on light makeup, and "experienced" traffic jams before arriving at the exam location.

Yen taught herself how to make cakes at the age of 15, mainly through online learning. At that time, she had no idea that this could be her career. Knowing that her family was poor and had no means to invest, Yen started working part-time since grade 10 to save up capital for her future bakery.

The little student did not hesitate to do any job: from serving coffee, printing by hand at the market, to folding envelopes... basically, she did whatever was hired. Yen's passion for making money began very early. In middle school, she thought of a way to make handmade key chains to sell to her friends. The money Yen earned for three years was almost all put into the piggy bank. And when she was 18, she owned a small bakery.

After graduating from high school, Yen passed the entrance exam to Vinh University and studied for a year. When she realized that she could not do both at the same time: studying and baking, Yen temporarily quit school. In the early days of opening the shop, she only slept two hours a day on average. It was a difficult decision and faced many crises. At that time, her father said: later on, you will enjoy the happiness, you will suffer the hardship, because this is your decision, as an adult.

Focusing full-time on the bakery, Yen's working day usually starts from 5am to 11pm, the young owner is always busy from morning to night. Some friends say: why are you so old, so hard-working! She registered for Miss Vietnam 2020 to prove that besides Yen the baker, there is another Yen, who can smile confidently in front of the camera, and can also catwalk in 15cm high heels.
