State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc meets voters of Nam Dan district

(Baonghean.vn) - State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc received and clarified the issues proposed by voters of Nam Anh commune, Nam Dan district.

On the afternoon of September 29, the National Assembly delegates at constituency No. 4 included:Ho Duc Phuc- Member of the Party Central Committee, State Auditor General; Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Dinh Thi Kieu Trinh - Deputy Head of the Department of Children and Gender Equality, Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, had a meeting with voters of Nam Dan district.

Attracting investment in agriculture

Reflecting to the National Assembly delegates, voters of Nam Anh commune, Nam Dan district expressed their joy at the country's achievements in recent times and highly appreciated the role of the National Assembly delegates who actively contributed opinions and conveyed the voters' thoughts and aspirations.

Voter Ho Viet reflected that Nam Anh is the leading unit in the district to successfully build a high-tech agricultural model. The commune has focused on developing a number of crops with high economic value such as jasmine, eggplant, squash, bitter melon, sweet melon, etc. Voters hope that the state will continue to have policies to pay attention to investing in developing high-tech agricultural production.

Sharing the same view, Mr. Nguyen Le Tien (Hamlet 4, Nam Anh Commune) cited the situation of farmers abandoning their fields due to low income. Therefore, he hopes that the State needs to have a major policy to invest in agriculture, to improve the income and life of farmers.

Voter Vo Dinh Phong said that the criteria for evaluating the implementation of the poverty policy are still rigid, leading to the fact that those who really need to benefit are not able to. Voters hope that the government needs to amend and supplement the application to suit the actual situation of the locality so that the policy can reach the people and those who really need it.

Also at the meeting with voters, Chairman of Nam Dan District People's Committee Nguyen Hong Son reflected that Nam Dan is a locality that is often affected by drought, so he suggested that National Assembly delegates propose to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to study investment in Nam Dan for a smart dam to prevent salinity, serving irrigation for the two districts of Nam Dan and Hung Nguyen.

Promoting the role of people in crime prevention and control

"The situation of insecurity, murder, and drug trafficking has caused great consequences for community life, causing concern among the people. The State needs to have measures to ensure security and order and fight against crime" - Voter Nguyen Kim Sinh, Hamlet 5, Nam Anh Commune expressed his concern.

In addition, Nam Anh voters expressed their agreement with the fight againstcorruptionof the Party and State in recent times, and at the same time hope that this work will continue to be resolutely implemented by all levels, sectors and localities.

Voters suggested that the State should have strong sanctions against those who do not comply with Covid-19 prevention and control work; rural transport investment; environmental pollution; and inadequacies in implementing the Land Law.

Responding to voters’ petitions, the State Auditor General shared people’s concerns about effective agricultural development; the State’s policy is to ensure that people can live on productive land. This is a problem for all levels and sectors regarding long-term planning and sustainable development of agriculture.

Analyzing the consequences caused by drugs, the State Auditor General expressed his hope that the whole community would join hands to push back drug trafficking and use, ensure a peaceful life, and at the same time promote the role of people in the fight against crime.

At the same time, voters' opinions will be compiled by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and recommendations will be sent to relevant agencies and departments to promptly respond to the people.

Nam Anhis a semi-mountainous commune of Nam Dan district with an area of ​​1281.5km2 and a population of 8,552 people.

The commune party committee has 276 party members operating in 12 party cells. In recent years, Nam Anh has promoted its advantages in building agricultural models that bring high economic efficiency. Up to now, the average income is 55 million/person/year; poor households account for 1.6% of the total.

In 2015, Nam Anh commune achieved the title of New Rural Commune and was chosen by Nam Dan district as a model commune for new rural construction.
