Temporarily detain a chief accountant for embezzling 200 billion VND

Taking advantage of being assigned as the company's chief accountant, from 2017 to April 2020, Thanh embezzled about 200 billion VND from the company.

On September 29, the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Thap Province Police said that it hadprosecuteaccused and temporarily detained Nguyen Trung Thanh, 40 years old, residing in My An town, Thap Muoi district, Dong Thap province to investigate the behaviorembezzlement.

Police read the warrant for Nguyen Trung Thanh's temporary detention.

According to the initial investigation results, from 2017 to April 2020, Nguyen Trung Thanh took advantage of his assigned position and authority as chief accountant of the Company headquartered in Thanh Binh Industrial Park to embezzle assets.

The total amount of money Nguyen Trung Thanh is accused of embezzling from the Company is about 200 billion VND. The Dong Thap Provincial Police Investigation Agency has temporarily detained Thanh for 4 months to serve the investigation./.
