(Baonghean.vn) - This is the goal that Cua Lo town is aiming for at the conference summarizing and reviewing 20 years of implementing the "All people unite to build a cultured life" movement and 10 years of implementing the "Vietnamese Family Development Strategy," while also commending and rewarding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing these movements.

On October 1st, the People's Committee of Cua Lo town held a conference to summarize 20 years of implementing the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement (2000-2020) and 10 years of implementing the "Vietnam Family Development Strategy 2010-2020". Attending and directing the conference were Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; representatives from the Department of Health; and from Cua Lo town, Mr. Le Thanh Long - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Cua Lo Town Party Committee; Mr. Doan Tien Dung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Lo town; and representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and organizations...

To date, all 39/39 blocks in the town have cultural centers; all 7/7 wards have cultural and sports facilities, of which 5/7 wards have facilities that meet standards; 36/39 blocks are cultural blocks, reaching a rate of 92.3%; 94% of families are cultural families; 67% of agencies and units are cultural agencies; and 13 clans have achieved cultural status.cultural lineage39 restaurants met the standards for civilized establishments; 34% of families participated in sports; 44% of people regularly practiced sports. The people were mobilized to build 30 model flag-lined streets, 15 flower-lined streets, install 295 public cameras, install 2,940 household trash cans, install 6,400 house number signs, and 66 streets were named, 121 alleys were named, and 45 lanes were named and had house number signs installed.

The results of the movement have contributed to improving the cultural and spiritual lives of the people, and the economy has gradually stabilized and developed. Many localities have linked the implementation of the movement with poverty alleviation, gratitude and repayment, job creation, and the development of many effective business, production, and farming models. The people's lives have continuously improved; the percentage of solid houses has gradually increased; roads have been concreted; national security and defense have been maintained, contributing to achieving 25 criteria for building civilized urban wards and 8 criteria for other areas.building model residential areas.

To build upon the achievements of the past years, to further develop the movement and achieve more practical results in life, and to create more cultural titles and advanced models in various fields in the coming years, this conference aims to evaluate the results achieved and the limitations and shortcomings over the past 20 and 10 years, thereby drawing out the causes and valuable lessons and experiences through exemplary reports and commending outstanding achievements.

At the conference, many participants contributed opinions focusing on important issues such as: How to make the "National Unity in Building a Culturally Rich Life" movement more widespread and integrated into the lives of every citizen; the need to change the methods of propaganda to raise public awareness in implementing the movement; the need to replicate successful and effective models, avoiding the pursuit of achievements for the sake of appearances...

Building a sustainable and widespread movement.

In her remarks at the conference, Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, acknowledged the achievements of Cua Lo town in the past period, but emphasized the need to consider whether the development of these movements is sustainable, has a wide reach, and whether the people are enthusiastic about them. As a coastal tourist town, she expressed hope that in the future, Cua Lo town would have more innovative approaches and breakthroughs in implementation to create a highlight.

Further developing the synchronized system of cultural and artistic institutions; effectively building tourism tours and routes from the system of historical sites and scenic spots in the area; successfully building model residential areas... Because the "All people unite to build a cultured life" movement will be a solid foundation for Cua Lo town to achieve the goal of building civilized, friendly, and hospitable people of Cua Lo.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Le Thanh Long, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Cua Lo Town Party Committee, emphasized: In the coming time, we will continue to strive to fulfill our tasks, through concrete actions, to ensure that culture truly permeates the lives of the people, maximizing the value of traditional culture, building a rich and healthy cultural environment, and meeting the increasingly high demands of the people for cultural enjoyment and creation. On this occasion, the conference awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to one collective (Culture and Information Department of Cua Lo town) and one individual (Mr. Vo Van Tho - Head of the Culture and Information Department of Cua Lo town) for outstanding achievements over five consecutive years; and the Emulation Flag from the Provincial People's Committee to one collective for outstanding achievements in 2019. In particular, the conference commended 9 collectives and 22 individuals for their outstanding achievements in implementing the movement over the past 20 years.
