The first Embraer 195 in the sky of Con Dao

On the morning of September 29, flight number QH1031 ofBamboo Airwayslanded at Con Dao airport at 9:10, taking passengers directly from Hanoi to Con Dao by Embraer 195 aircraft.

This is Bamboo Airways' first commercial flight connecting to Con Dao, opening the 3 direct routes to Con Dao that the airline has been operating since September 29, 2020. With these 3 new routes, Bamboo Airways has become the first airline in the history of domestic aviation to simultaneously open multiple direct routes to Con Dao, the first airline to provide Business Class service on the route to Con Dao, and the first airline to operate the modern Embraer 195 jet aircraft in Vietnam.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Anh Nhut - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Con Dao district said: "Bamboo Airways' new routes from Hanoi, Hai Phong and Vinh to Con Dao are events that the government and people of Con Dao are eagerly waiting for, especially businesses investing in tourism projects in the area. These routes will help improve Con Dao's transportation, both in terms of capacity and service quality, contributing to bringing the local economy and society to a new page, and Con Dao will be a bright spot for tourism in Ba Ria Vung Tau province.”.

Within the framework of the event, Mr. Dang Tat Thang - General Director of Bamboo Airways donated 1 billion VND in cash to support poor households in Con Dao. The advanced features of the Embraer 195 aircraft allow Bamboo Airways to become the first airline to operate Business Class standard service on routes connecting Con Dao.

With a passenger cabin designed in the form of a "double bubble", Bamboo Airways' Embraer 195 is arranged with 19 standard business class seats in a 1-1 configuration, providing a spacious experience for passengers.

Mr. Raul Villaron - Vice President of Asia - Pacific of aircraft manufacturer Embraer sent his congratulations to Bamboo Airways on this occasion, and affirmed that the economy and fuel efficiency of the Embraer 195 aircraft will help Bamboo Airways manage costs effectively according to fluctuations in market demand, making it easier to operate special routes that require the operation of aircraft of appropriate sizes.

Bamboo Airways operates 3 direct flights to Con Dao with the following frequencies: Hanoi - Con Dao: 3 round trips/day, Hai Phong - Con Dao: 1 round trip/day, Vinh - Con Dao: 3 round trips/week.
