This training and exercise is organized to strengthen the propaganda and dissemination of legal documents of the State in the work.fire protection and prevention; raise awareness among the fire prevention and fighting force in the hospital and workers in general about their obligations and responsibilities in fire prevention and fighting; at the same time, improve efficiency, ensure safety in fire prevention and fighting, minimize the number of fires and damages caused by fires and explosions inside and outside the hospital.

Over the years, the Board of DirectorsNghe An General Friendship HospitalPay special attention to fire prevention and fighting training; annually and regularly strengthen maintenance, repair, and supervision of fire prevention and fighting at the Hospital, especially in environments with many inpatients.

Specifically, in fire prevention and fighting, the Hospital has raised awareness among medical staff, patients and relatives by issuing regulations and sanctions on activities that pose a risk of fire and explosion (no smoking, no use of electrical equipment without permission, no use of mini gas stoves, etc.); designing additional refuge areas, ensuring the fastest escape in case of fire on high floors, preserving human lives. The Hospital has established a mobile fire prevention and fighting team with specific functions and tasks and coordinated with each other to handle fire incidents; coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police to organize fire fighting and rescue drills, ensuring the necessary skills in fire fighting and rescue for the Fire Prevention and Fighting Team at the Hospital.

During the periodic maintenance and repair work, the Hospital regularly checks the status of fire extinguishers in the premises, ensuring that on-site fire fighting operations are always ready; checks the operation of fire pumps, test-runs the pumps by discharging water at outdoor fire hydrants, ensuring that the fire pumps always operate automatically... Every 6 months, the hospital checks the sprinklers and fire hose reels, ensuring that the hose reels are not damaged due to long-term disuse; tests the stair booster fans and smoke exhaust fans, ensuring that the system is automatically activated in the event of a fire.

In particular, the daily propaganda and monitoring work is always well performed by the Hospital by broadcasting information on loudspeakers to raise awareness and skills on fire prevention and fighting for medical staff and relatives, patients being treated at the hospital; checking the status of the doors of the emergency stairs (must always be closed), avoiding smoke from entering the emergency stairs in case of fire; arranging technical staff to monitor the fire alarm system 24/24h, promptly detecting fire incidents anywhere in the Hospital.
