Nghe An: Highlights of October 6th

*SOn October 6th, the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union organized a seminar.90th anniversary of its foundingThe Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2020) received the Second Class Labor Order. Speaking at the seminar, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - highly appreciated the contributions of the Nghe An Women's Union in implementing revolutionary goals and tasks in each historical period throughout the past 90 years.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that all levels of the Women's Union in the province closely follow the orientation and guidance of the Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee; closely adhere to the political goals and tasks of the locality and the practical needs of members, women, and the people to implement programs and activities in a more practical and effective manner.

*LIVEIn the field of education, good news arrived in many "educational hubs" after universities announced their admission results. This was especially true for the teachers and students of Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2, as the percentage of students admitted to universities was high.It's among the very top.

In the 2019-2020 academic year, Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2 had 148 students taking the high school graduation exam and university entrance exam. According to statistics, 14 students achieved scores of 30 points or higher, including priority points; 11 students were admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology with admission scores ranging from 27.5 to 30.28 points, and 5 students were admitted to the People's Security Academy with admission scores ranging from 28.3 to 30.3 points.

*DThe recurring problem of "flooding after the rain" has occurred again in Vinh City, as the heavy rain on the morning of October 6th has caused further flooding.Some roads in the city were flooded.Some schools experienced traffic congestion during rush hour. Later in the day, congestion continued after heavy rain.

The fundamental reason is that the drainage system on many city streets is inefficient but has not been upgraded or repaired. As a result, just a few rainstorms are enough to submerge many roads, making travel difficult for residents.
