Prosecution and arrest of young man who slashed and injured little girl
Dam Rong District Police (Lam Dong Province) said that the unit has prosecuted and temporarily detained Sruk K'Thi to investigate the crime of "Intentionally causing injury".
Previously, on the afternoon of March 28, Sruk K'Thi (26 years old, residing in village 5, Lieng S'Rông commune) and 9 young men rode 5 motorbikes, revving their engines, causing disorder along National Highway 27. When reminded by the people, these young men cursed and threw bricks and stones at the house to threaten them.

Upon receiving the news, the Da R'Sal Commune Police arrived and the suspects fled. While the commune police were asking for information at the house of Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (residing in Phi Jut village, Da Rsal commune), K'Thi and another suspect returned and rushed into the house and used a knife to mistakenly slash Nguyen Thi My Duyen (12 years old, daughter of Mr. Nguyen Van Hung). As a result, Duyen was injured in 2 fingers of her left hand, with a 6% injury. The suspects later came to apologize, explained that they were drunk and partially compensated the victim for medical expenses.
However, realizing that the subjects' behavior showed an aggressive, hooligan attitude and disregard for the law, Dam Rong District Police strengthened the case file, initiated a criminal case, and detained the suspects for investigation. The decisionsprosecuteand the temporary detention order has been approved by the People's Procuracy of the same level.
Sruk K'Thi has one criminal record and two previous convictions for theft and intentional damage to property. The person accompanying Sruck K'Thi is under 18 years old. Although he was prosecuted, he was banned from leaving his place of residence.
