Promote the role of armed forces in the development of the province

Faced with the requirements of the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation, the Party Committee - Military Command of Nghe An province has focused on leading, directing and synchronously implementing solutions to build a strong and comprehensive provincial armed force, contributing to maintaining political stability, social order and safety, creating favorable conditions for the locality to develop its socio-economy, strengthen and consolidate national defense and security, and successfully implement the goals, targets and tasks in the coming time.

Focus on building a strong national defense

Over the past 5 years, the Nghe An Provincial Military Party Committee has advised the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to issue resolutions, directives, programs, projects, and implementation plans that are close to the local situation. Effectively implementing the Project "Ensuring National Defense for the period 2015 - 2020 and orientation to 2030"; building a number of key combat works in the provincial defense zone (PKZ) for the period 2016 - 2021, completing the military strategy planning in the PKZ, gradually investing in building a number of key combat works in the PKZ at the provincial and district levels.

Advise local Party committees and authorities to lead and direct the organization of provincial-level disaster prevention and control drills (2017); 21/21 districts, cities and towns conducted disaster prevention and control drills, search and rescue drills. Regularly pay attention to building a regular, elite, and gradually modern standing army; a strong and widespread militia and self-defense force; a strong reserve force. Strictly maintain combat readiness; effectively implement breakthroughs in improving training quality; build a regular order, comply with discipline and the law; build a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit.

Effectively implement Directives No. 03 and 05 of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers"; the emulation movement "Skilled mass mobilization", "Military forces join hands to build new rural areas"; actively participate in preventing and overcoming consequences of natural disasters, forest fires and epidemics. In particular, in recent times, the provincial military forces have been the core force together with the Party Committee, government and political system to effectively carry out the task of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

Logistics and technical work are always given importance, linking the emulation movement "Military Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings" and the Campaign "Management and exploitation of weapons, technical equipment well, durable, safe, economical and traffic safety" with the unit's movement "Determined to Win", thereby creating motivation for officers and soldiers of the provincial military to strive to compete for high achievements, contributing to the successful completion of logistics and technical assurance tasks.

Closely combine the task of socio-economic development with strengthening and enhancing national defense, security and foreign affairs; between national defense - security and economic development. Link the master plan and socio-economic development projects with the planning of building the provincial military zone posture; Military foreign affairs continue to expand and develop comprehensively, the relationship of solidarity, friendship and cooperation with the government, armed forces and people of the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, and Bolikhamxay of Laos.
