Nghe An provincial leaders visit 22 families of martyrs who died in Quang Tri

After visiting and encouraging the families, Nghe An provincial leaders presented gifts worth more than 100 million VND to the relatives of the 22 martyrs.
Earlier, in the early morning of October 18, a landslide suddenly occurred, collapsing onto the houses of the 337th Economic - Defense Group in Cop village, Huong Phung commune, Huong Hoa district (Quang Tri); 5 people were rescued, 22 people were buried, including 4 officers, 10 professional soldiers and 8 soldiers.
Economic-Defense Group 337 is on duty in 5 border communes in extremely difficult areas of Huong Hoa district. In October, the group carried out the task of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, rescue and relief in the area where it was stationed under the direction of the Military Region 4 Command and the request of the local government.

Among the 22 people who died, there were 8 people including 1 officer, 5 professional soldiers and 2 soldiers.same hometown Nghe AnThese two soldiers just enlisted more than a year ago, they are only 19 and 20 years old.
The funeral of the 22 officers and soldiers will be held by the Military Region 4 Command according to military protocol at the Quang Tri Province multi-purpose gymnasium. The visitation will be from 7am to 10am on October 22. The memorial service and procession will be from 10am to 11am.
The Nghe An Provincial Military Command said that the unit has mobilized vehicles and more than 100 officers and soldiers to Quang Tri to welcome the martyrs back to their hometown for burial.
