(Baonghean.vn) - In order to share the difficulties with people affected by floods in the Central provinces, pagodas and parishes in the province organized donations, wrapped banh chung, and directly gave gifts to people in flooded areas.
On this occasion,pagodaChi Linh (Gam Pagoda - Yen Thanh)organized to wrap banh chung to give to flood victims in the Central region. Many Buddhists and people around the pagoda gathered at the pagoda to help wrap the cakes.
It is known that the temple wrapped and cooked 5,000 cakes.Chung caketo give to people in flood-hit areas of Huong Khe, Ky Anh, Cam Xuyen districts (Ha Tinh). In the immediate future, the pagoda will provide relief to people in flood-hit areas with banh chung, dry food, water, etc.
In early November, the pagoda plans to continue organizing charity programs in Quang Binh and Quang Tri to support people in overcoming flood consequences.

Venerable Thich Tue Minh - abbot of Chi Linh pagoda said: Through images on the media and social networks, seeing the difficult life of people in the flood area, we really could not hold back our tears.
Faced with this situation, in line with the spirit of “mutual love” of the people across the country, Chi Linh Pagoda organized charity programs, including making banh chung, to share with people in flooded areas. Hopefully, people will receive support from many sides, so that their lives can soon stabilize.

Also during this time, the parishionersparishMy Du, Chau Nhan commune (Hung Nguyen) organized the wrapping and cooking of 6,000 banh chung. The parish's activity of wrapping cakes to send to flood victims was enthusiastically participated by many people in the parish.
Banh chung was wrapped and cooked at a parishioner's family in the parish. To wrap and cook this amount of cakes, the people organized 3 batches. Each batch wrapped 2,000 cakes. Dozens of pots of cakes were cooked with a firewood stove, flickering brightly in the night, partly expressing the feelings and sharing of the people here with the people in the flooded areas.
The parish youth volunteer group successfully organized 3 trips to deliver banh chung and relief gifts to people in flooded districts in Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue.

Unlike My Du parish, the youth of Nghia Thanh parish in Nghia Trung commune (Nghia Dan) are calling on people to donate rice to support people in flood-affected areas.
Mr. Le Hai Dang, representative of the parish youth, said: The program has just started on the afternoon of October 21, but has received contributions from many households. This amount of rice was gathered by the youth, packed into small bags, for easy transportation and delivery to people in flooded areas. Hopefully, this activity will contribute to sharing difficulties with people and spreading more love during the flood season.
