Mr. Le Van Thanh - Principal of the school said that all students in the school haveleave schoolfrom this morning until the end of the week. The water has not yet flooded the school's classrooms, but the water in the gym is knee-deep.

In addition, the school also has a dormitory with more than 20 rooms where teachers live, with water about half a meter deep. “The school has many teachers who come from far away to work, so the number of people staying in the dormitory is large. This year, the school dormitory has 21 households staying, with more than 40 people including adults and children. Currently, teachers have used bricks to raise beds, cabinets, and kitchens. In addition, other household items and utensils have been moved and evacuated,” said Mr. Thanh.

Currently, because flood waters are likely to continue to rise, the Thanh Chuong District Education Department has directed all schools to let students stay home.

Yesterday, local forces and teachers moved and evacuated all equipment, teaching aids, computers, documents, etc. to higher locations. In addition, tables and chairs were also placed high up to avoid water damage.

In addition to the communes along the Lam River, there are also low-lying communes such as Hung Loi, Hung Phuc, Hung Trung, Hung Nghia that are flooded due to heavy rain. In addition, even central communes such as Hung Chinh and Hung Nguyen town are partially flooded due to slow drainage.
