According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently (October 31), in the sea east of the Philippines there is a super typhoon (international name Goni) active.

At 7:00 a.m. on October 31, the center positionSuper Typhoon Goniat about 15.3 degrees North latitude; 128.8 degrees East longitude, about 810km East of Lu Dong Island (Philippines). The strongest wind near the center of the super typhoon is level 17 (200-220km/h), gusting above level 17.

In the next 24 hours, the storm is forecast to move west-southwest at 20-25km per hour. At 7am on November 1, the storm's eye was at approximately 13.8 degrees north latitude; 123.5 degrees east longitude, in the central Philippines. The strongest wind near the storm's eye is level 15 (165-185km/h), gusting to level 17.
