Nghe An: 900 people march in response to the month of action for gender equality and violence prevention
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (November 9), at Nghe An Ethnic Boarding Vocational College (located in Con Cuong district), the launching ceremony of the month of action for gender equality and prevention of gender-based violence in 2020 took place with the theme "Ending violence against women and children".
Attending the launching ceremony were comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Doan Hong Vu - Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
Attending the launching ceremony were representatives of departments, leaders of Con Cuong district; representatives of leaders of Women's Union of 13 communes and towns, 900 youth union members of 32 grassroots youth union branches in the district.

At the ceremony, witnessed by representatives of provincial-level departments and agencies, Con Cuong district organized a commitment signing ceremony with district and commune-level departments and agencies in responding to the month of action for gender equality and prevention of gender-based violence in 2020, thereby strongly affirming the need to join hands to end violence against women and children.
At the end of the ceremony, more than 900 people marched on the main streets of Con Cuong district to promote gender equality and prevention of gender-based violence.
