Reviewing the contents of the 990th anniversary of Nghe An's name

On the afternoon of November 10, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting of the Organizing Committee for commemorative activities.990 years of Nghe An name(1030 - 2020) and the Organizing Committee of the scientific conference "Nghe An - 990 years of formation and development".

Implementing Plan No. 196 - KH/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 990th anniversary of Nghe An's title (1030 - 2020).

Activities celebrating the 990th anniversary of Nghe An's title are held to promote traditional values, affirm the position, role and great contributions of the land andNghe An peoplein the historical process of building, defending and developing the country.

The main activities in the celebration program include: Competition to learn about "History of Nghe An province - 990 years of formation and development"; Exhibition "Historical milestones of Nghe An province in Nguyen Dynasty Woodblocks - World Documentary Heritage"; Photo exhibition "Nghe An integration and development"; Essay contest on 990 years of Nghe An Land and People; Workshop "Nghe An - 990 years of formation and development"; Ceremony to celebrate 990 years and receive the Certificate of Special National Monument of Hoanh Son communal house.

As planned, the program to celebrate the 990th anniversary of Nghe An's name will be held at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City) on the evening of November 30, 2020, broadcast live on VTV2 and NTV.

At the meeting, leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports; Provincial Political School reported on the script and preparations for the commemorative activities. Representatives of other departments, branches and sectors reported on the results of their assigned tasks and gave comments to complete the script.

Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments and branches to focus on performing their assigned tasks carefully, especially in welcoming guests. Nam Dan district coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports to organize well the procession ceremony of the Certificate of Special National Monument of Hoanh Son communal house.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the activities to celebrate the 990th anniversary of Nghe An's name are extremely important events. The activities must create an exciting atmosphere, create solidarity among cadres, party members and people, strive to compete to successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed many important contents and requested the Department of Culture and Sports to complete the script of the celebration program, the Provincial Political School to complete the script of the workshop, and submit it to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for comments.
