Indeed, everyday, cute and familiar stories about trees, green flowers, leaves or beautiful memories have been shared by everyone, creating a ripple effect throughout the online community.

A stay-at-home mom who is taking care of her baby shared a cute story about the potted plants and flowers on her balcony that helped her relax and enjoy this time. Mom Huong Giang: “What I like most is that I have 2 balconies so I can grow plants freely. Plants help purify the air and make me feel like I am in a miniature “resort”. I would like to share with everyone a few pictures of the enjoyable view for each time I sit down to express milk.”

Besides small stories in daily life, there are also profound shares with the wish for green for life and the country. On her Facebook page, Ms. Tuyet Hang records the beauty of nature and the country through photos taken by herself and expresses the wish for a green color for Vietnam with the sharing: "Well, since I can't plant forests yet, I will join in supporting the Fund of 1 million green trees for Vietnam".

Ms. Hoang Hong Nhung, on her Facebook, shared about the values ​​that trees bring to people: “Trees are likened to the lungs of the earth. A healthy green lung will make the world environment cleaner, reduce pollution, dust... From there, human health will also be improved. Therefore, when I learned about the campaign "1 million trees for Vietnam", my family and I quickly participated."

It is known that the 1 Million Trees for Vietnam Fund has been implemented by Vinamilk and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for the past 9 years. For each Facebook post, the 1 Million Trees for Vietnam Fund and Vinamilk will plant 2 trees to complete the goal of 1 million trees in 2020, and that is also the reason why the program has spread so "real" in the past few days.

9-year journey of "coloring the future"

Not only now, news about drought, saltwater intrusion, storms and floods continuously appear on the news. The impact of climate has directly caused increasingly obvious effects on human life. The first thing to do is to become a friend of nature, thereby bringing balance back to life. In particular, planting more trees is considered one of the ways to bring people closer to "mother nature".

The "1 Million Trees for Vietnam Fund" was officially launched in 2012. By 2019, the program had planted up to 851,000 trees of all kinds worth 11 billion VND at 41 locations in 18 provinces and cities of Vietnam. On the journey to bring green, "the color of the future", to all parts of the country, some trees of the Fund have carried out very special "missions" to contribute to minimizing the impact of climate change in many localities such as desertification, saltwater intrusion, coastal erosion, etc.

For each tree planting location, the organizers carefully research and study the type of tree suitable for the soil and climate conditions to grow well. Therefore, trees are increasingly closely associated with the people, growing with life.

Green areas are gradually taking shape from rows of young mangrove trees planted by the "1 million trees for Vietnam" Fund and Vinamilk along the Cha Va River, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

There are also trees silently growing to help beautify the landscape, providing shade for schools and historical sites with special spiritual significance. Or the seedlings, though still small, are gradually forming forests with the people, both growing forests and helping people eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and create a sustainable forest economy.

People often say, one tree cannot make a forest, but millions of trees working together will… make a story. Each tree that is planted and grows tall has its own “story” that each of us can see from which is the value and positive inspiration for this life.

Over the past 9 years, hundreds of thousands of trees have been planted, cared for and grown tall. To reach the milestone of 1 million trees in 2020, each of us can contribute by posting photos of ourselves and our families with trees or talking about green living on our personal Facebook in public mode with the hashtag#Vinamilk#MillionTreeTreeGardenForGreenVietnam.For each post, Vinamilk will plant 2 trees on your behalf through the "1 million trees for Vietnam" Fund.
