Driving force for socio-economic development

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, comrade Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports affirmed that the MovementAll people unite to build a cultural lifeand developing Vietnamese families is a major policy of the Party and State to create a strong driving force to realize the goal of socio-economic development, building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.

Summarizing 20 years of implementing the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"; 10 years of implementing the Vietnam Family Development Strategy and documents on family, summarizing Directive 41 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in the management and organization of festivals and summarizing Directive 46 on preventing the infiltration of cultural products to evaluate the results achieved and point out the limitations that need to be overcome.

From there, draw theoretical and practical lessons, propose appropriate tasks and solutions to carry out the movement andfamily workwith more depth, sustainable quality and practical efficiency in the new period. Promoting the traditional cultural features of Nghe An people, building cultural families and Nghe An people to meet the requirements of integration and development.

Over the past 20 years, the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been widely implemented throughout the province, having a positive and profound impact on many areas of social life, meeting the needs and aspirations of all classes of people, contributing significantly to economic, cultural and social development, maintaining political security and ensuring social order and safety.

Up to now, the total number of communes receiving investment support for constructioncultural institution, sports according to the provincial mechanism is 290 works, of which the number of cultural houses is 182, stadiums is 108; 20/21 districts, cities and towns have cultural - sports centers; 100% of communes, wards and towns have planned land to build cultural and sports institutions associated with new rural construction (of which 67.8% have met the standards); 5,642/5,886 villages (not yet merged) have cultural houses and sports grounds that meet the standards (accounting for 64%).

Regarding the implementation of the Vietnamese family development strategy, the Party Committee, the government, departments, and organizations at all levels have paid attention to directing and investing in supporting resources. Many resolutions, programs, and projects have been issued and effectively implemented. Since then, the awareness of all classes of people about the role of the family and the responsibility of individuals for family-related issues has been raised to a new level.

Family life education and equipping necessary skills for generations and members are given due attention. Household economy is invested in and promoted for development. Each year, the province invests over 1,300 billion VND in poverty reduction. By the end of 2019, the province's poverty rate was only 4%.

Many families are exemplary, comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, help the community and enthusiastically produce. Through the summaries, the number of typical cultural families at the commune level is more than 50,400, at the district level is 2,060, at the provincial level is 250 and 28 families were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. By 2019, 689,177 families had achieved the title of culture (accounting for 84.5%)...

Implementing Directive No. 46-CT/TW of the Secretariat (dated July 27, 2010) on preventing the infiltration of harmful cultural products that destroy social morality, Party committees and authorities at all levels pay attention to leading, directing and organizing well the propaganda work, mobilizing people to strictly comply with regulations.

Develop a plan to propagate and educate on politics, ethics, and lifestyle for all social classes, especially youth, to eliminate and boycott harmful cultural products. Encourage children to read healthy, useful, and highly educational cultural products.

Continue to improve efficiency and quality

At the Conference, delegates focused their discussions on the issue of the movement to build cultural families, cultural residential areas, and cultural life associated with the goal of building new rural areas and preventing domestic violence...
