Nghe An Provincial People's Committee works with Northern Power Corporation

On the afternoon of November 20, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee had a working session with the Northern Power Corporation on a number of issues related to electricity development.

Attending the meeting, on behalf of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, there were comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of departments, branches, and some localities. Nghe An currently has about 1 million customers using electricity.Northern Power Corporation. Accumulated commercial electricity output in 10 months reached 3,166 billion kWh, up +9.4% compared to 2019.

Currently, Nghe An province is mainly supplied with electricity from the 220kV Quynh Luu transformer station, the 220kV Hung Dong transformer station, the 220kV Do Luong transformer station, the 220kV Nghi Son transformer station and communication lines with the Ha Tinh region.

In the province, there are 36 110kV lines and branches with a total length of 866 km, of which 148 km belong to customer assets and 21 transformer stations. Currently, 15/21 hydropower plants have been operated and connected to the 110kV grid, the regional medium voltage grid of the Northern Power Corporation with a total capacity of 296.9 MW.

In the period 2016 - 2020, the total investment of the projects of the Northern Power Corporation in Nghe An province is 2,686,915 billion VND; in 2020 alone it is 877 billion VND. The total investment of the projects in the period 2021 - 2023 is 850,198 billion VND.

However, in the province, there are still 125 villages and hamlets in the list that have not received investment in rural electricity supply from the government.National GridNghe An province in phase 2. In addition, there are still 13 villages and hamlets with grid connection capabilities that are not yet included in the project list.

At the meeting, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and Northern Power Corporation discussed, clarified and proposed solutions to problems and shortcomings related to the implementation of investment projects in the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa emphasized that Nghe An has many conditions to attract investment, especially forFDI projectHowever, to attract investors, preparing infrastructure conditions is very important. Therefore, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Northern Power Corporation to pay attention to resolving the recommendations of the 3 industrial park infrastructure investors in the area.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Do Nguyet Anh - General Director of the Northern Power Corporation thanked the attention and direction of the leaders of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to speed up the progress of projects in the area in the past time.

On behalf of the leadership of the Northern Power Corporation, Ms. Do Nguyet Anh pledged that the Corporation will ensure adequate power supply to customers, ensuring that the power grid is operated safely and without overload. For key customers who are investors, the Northern Power Corporation will also ensure adequate power supply based on a reasonable and regulated plan and schedule.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in recent years, the Northern Power Corporation and electricity units located in the area have paid attention to supporting, cooperating and investing, contributing a very important role to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and electricity security for the locality.

Briefing on the results of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung hoped that in the coming time, Nghe An province would continue to receive investment and development attention from the Northern Power Corporation. Thereby, helping Nghe An province soon achieve its goals according to the direction of the Politburo in Resolution No. 26.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned specific tasks to departments, branches and localities in coordinating to resolve recommendations and proposals of the Northern Power Corporation.At the same time, it is emphasized that,Nghe An province is committed to creating favorable conditions for the projects of the Northern Power Corporation to be implemented in the area with the highest efficiency.

At the same time, it is recommended that the Northern Power Corporation and Nghe An Power Company pay attention to creating conditions and arranging capital to invest in providing rural power grids for 138 villages and hamlets without electricity in the area.

In particular, the head of the provincial People's Committee hopes that the Northern Power Corporation will pay attention to investing in power supply for the province's key projects in the WHA, Hoang Mai 1 and Hoang Mai 2 Industrial Parks. These are important premises and bases to help the province attract many dynamic and key projects. Thereby, contributing to helping the province soon become a prosperous province of the North as President Ho Chi Minh always wished.
