Arrest of murderer in karaoke bar hiding in Hanoi

On the night of November 21, Vinh City police received a report aboutmurder caseoccurred in Nghi An commune, Vinh city. The victim was Pham Ngoc Thang (born in 1990), residing in Nghi Kim commune, Vinh city.
Accordingly, at about 22:15 on the same day, Pham Ngoc Thang and a group of friends went toKaraoke barNghi An Club is located in Kim My hamlet (hamlet 2), Nghi An commune, Vinh city, Nghe An province for karaoke.
During the singing, Pham Ngoc Thang had a conflict with Ms. Pham Thi Hoa (born in 1995), permanent resident in Hung Cong commune, Binh Luc district, Ha Nam province.
Thang slapped Ms. Pham Thi Hoa in the face, causing her to cry and run to the reception desk of the restaurant and call a friend named Nguyen Duy Tuan (born in 1982), residing in Hamlet 3, Nghi Kim Commune, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.

About 15 minutes later, Nguyen Duy Tuan arrived at the reception desk and met Pham Ngoc Thang standing outside in the hallway next to the reception desk.
Nguyen Duy Tuan talked to Pham Ngoc Thang for a few sentences, then suddenly pulled out a switchblade and stabbed Thang straight in the thigh near the lower abdomen in front. When Thang was stabbed, he turned around and ran inside. Tuan chased after him and stabbed Thang again in the back. Thang ran to the door of karaoke room number 579 and collapsed. At that time, everyone in the room ran out and saw what happened and immediately took Thang to the Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment, but Thang stopped breathing on the morning of November 22.
After committing the crime, Tuan fled the area.
Upon receiving the information, Vinh City Police quickly organized forces to coordinate with the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police), the Criminal Technique Department to organize a crime scene examination, autopsy, investigation to clarify the case and at the same time arrest the perpetrator.
On the morning of November 23, 2020, Vinh City Police arrested Nguyen Duy Tuan while he was hiding in Dong Da district, Hanoi.
Initially, Nguyen Duy Tuan confessed to his crime. Currently, the Criminal Police Department is continuing to consolidate the case file and prosecute Nguyen Duy Tuan for murder.
